National Prescribing Service
NPS is a member-based organisation providing accurate, balanced, evidence-based information and services to health professionals and the community on Quality Use of Medicines (QUM). To achieve, the NPS work in partnership Divisions of General Practice to deliver educational visiting on evidence based information. The NPS are independent, non-profit and funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing.
Educational visiting as delivered through the Division run NPS program can take e form of either a one-to-one (1:1) discussion on a therapeutic topic of 1/2hr duration or small group case scenario discussions. All educational activities are accredited through both the RACGP and ACRRM for CPD points.
Upcoming Events
Helen Brown, visiting NPS facilitator will be visiting the Kimberley region again in early 2007 to deliver the upcoming NPS topic, Use of Antibiotics. Helen will conduct 2 visits, one to the East and one to the West Kimberley, covering all the major towns of the region over April and May 2006.
